About Us...
"The real essence of art turned out not to be something high up and far off. It was right inside my ordinary daily self. The very way one greets people and expresses oneself is art.  If a musician wants to become a fine artist he must first become a finer person. If he does this, his worth will appear.  It will appear in everything he does, even in what he writes. Art is not in some far-off place.  A work of art is the expression of one's whole personality, sensibility and ability."

-Shinichi Suzuki

A Sense of Place:
The Art of Tim Buckley & Greg Zurbrugg

The Blue Pepper is pleased to present the photography of Tim Buckley & Greg Zurbrugg during the months of November and December 2007.  Both are Salem artists who draw their inspiration from ideas of home, travel, personal identification with these spaces, and the memories and feelings that such images evoke.  Through the documentation of their experiences, the two have created a collective body of work which presents lands near and far, in an interesting and inviting fashion.

Their art will be on display from Monday, November 19 through Monday, December 24.

A reception will be held Thursday, November 29, starting at 6:00 PM. featuring both artists talking about their photography, lives, and interests.  A special, limited edition wine will also be sampled at the event, to further emphasize the Sense of Place which this show hopes to communicate.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact The Blue Pepper at (503) 371-4600.
